AA News: Co-founder honored
Part of Akron street re-named "Dr. Bob's Way
To honor AA's 75th Anniversary and to coincide with the annual Founder's Day, the Akron city Council gave a portion of Olive Street the historical designation "Dr. Bob's Way." This section runs from North Main Street to North Howard Street, and is on the north end of St. Thomas Hospital (now called Summa St. Thomas Hospital), which featured the first hospital specialty unit to treat alcoholism.
