Cult-like or just welcoming?
Have to be part of the 'in-crowd'
I do not care for the chanting after the meetings. During the meetings after someone shares everyone applauds and says thank you. Some special people get louder applause than others. This could make other people seem less than. It seems that unless you are part of the in-crowd you don't get called on to share. Once again, this could make others feel less than. When I first got sober there was no applause or chanting to single anyone out.
