Sober Thinking

It's 3:00 A.M. and all is not quiet on the home front. My cellmate can't sleep, so that means I don't sleep. Even if he didn't get out of his bunk, these fireproof mattresses lying on a steel rack make a crunching noise every time you move. In an eight by twelve foot cell, it's going to wake you up unless you're really tired.
