Precedent-Breaking Award To AA's Co-Founder

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J.--The E. M. Jellinek Memorial Award was presented posthumously to William Griffith Wilson, who co-founded Alcoholics Anonymous in 1935. Wilson's widow, Mrs. Lois Burnbam Wilson of Bedford Hills, N.Y., asked that R. Brinkley Smithers accept the award on her behalf, at the 30th Anniversary Banquet of the Summer School of Alcohol Studies, in the Rutgers University Commons.
