'Incurable Disease' Concept Challenged

Two questions vital to alcoholism therapy are being given marked editorial attention by The Journal, monthly newspaper of the Addiction Research Foundation of Ontario. (1) Should alcoholism be regarded as a disease? (2) Can any system of treatment enable an alcoholic to become a controlled or "social" drinker?
