Tells of "Patron Saint

A talk on the life of Matt Talbot, an alcoholic who stayed dry through prayer for 40 years until his death in 1925 was given by the Rev. Fr. James McCloskey of St. Mary's R.C. Church, Plainfield, N. J., to the group there recently. From the story the speaker termed Talbot the "patron saint" of A.A. and said his own work with heavy drinkers of all creeds has been made much more successful since he himself has been reading and studying the A.A. program.
