YOU and I are very near in our common trouble. What has happened to us has taken a long time. It has been a slow insidious action. In many instances and in most cases it has taken years to bring us low. During those years we have inflicted deep and ugly wounds on those we have loved and those who respected us. For some of us a life time of sobriety will not be enough to heal the wounds. To some of us it will be forever too late because the ones we have hurt have gone forever. A life time of sobriety is little enough to give in dedication to their memory. The peace and self-respect in your own heart will give you lasting satisfaction.
