Never Too New

I AM a new member of Alcoholics Anonymous and have been dry for only three months. I was very surprised the other day when someone asked me to make my first speech. I was quite reluctant to do so and tried to beg off. What could a 90-day baby say that could possibly help anyone else? Well, strange as it may seem, I was told that sometimes a neophyte can discuss his own drinking problem so clearly and so vividly that frequently they seem to coincide with the drinking problems of some person who is attending his first or second meeting. And so with considerable doubts and misgivings I agreed to speak at a Sunday night meeting in the suburbs.
