News Circuit of A.A.s From All Parts of the World

FROM the news that has come into The A.A. Grapevine office this past month, it would seem as if many A.A.s believe that nothing promotes understanding between people like playing together. Picnics have been the order of the day. Down in Birmingham, Ala., the Service Guild asked the A.A. members to join them for an outing and here's what they did: Baseball fans did a lot of elbow-bending with balls and bats. Bridge addicts settled down to an orgy of doubling and redoubling, the horseshoe throwers pitched some big ones and the dart throwers threw a party all their own. One talented member treated the picnickers to a skit and the Barber Shop Quartet got high on blended harmony.
