Are We "Different"?

Is our Individualism Rugged Or Escapist?

SPEAKER after speaker in A.A. meetings keep saying that we alcoholics are "different," that we are individualists who could not get along in a regimented world, that we are idealists who could accept no part of compromise. The inference is that we are superior people--a somewhat infuriating attitude to non-alcoholic friends in our audiences.
