Mail Call

SOMETIME ago a member of AA said to me that he had never heard of a slip; there was no such thing. May I say there is. To me, it is exactly the thing described in an article of the May, 1948, issue of The A.A. Grapevine, titled, "Some People Are Much Sicker Than Others." One paragraph states, "One formula cannot fit all cases; we are individuals dealing with an individual. But it is certain that no method will be successful unless we make some attempt to recognize a slip for what it is--the anaesthetic of a man in pain."
