Mail Call for A.A.s at Home and Abroad

IF we expect God to rebuild our lives over night, we are fools. God is not our servant. We must first learn tolerance, meekness, forgiveness, and humility. Then we must start to rebuild this filthy shack in which we have been content to live. We certainly cannot expect God to enter our hearts in this condition. First we must sincerely say, "Forgive them for they know not what they do." Starting there we must plant and cultivate thoughts and deeds of decency, kindness, and forgiveness and must constantly keep before us the realization--"But for the grace of God. . . ."
