He Was an Eight Bottle Boy

JOE was an eight bottle boy--not whisky--beer. Frail and sickly--a little beer would put him in a rest home. Nevertheless Joe was, by his own admission definitely alcoholic. He was 2000 miles away from his loved ones and alone. He was not here for a geographical cure--his health prompted him to seek a warmer climate for the winter.
