Only More So--

AS an A-1 addict I feel I can offer a little advice to both fellow-junkers and alcoholics. In the first place, as the cure is being effected, the junker's mental attitude is the same as the alcoholic's only more so. I have fought both--drugs and booze. I found my resentments more intense coming out of the drugs. I felt that everyone, particularly A.A.s, were against me, for addiction presented a new angle to A.A.s. I was partly right--although I found out after my long hospital stay that it was a Toronto A.A. doctor who spent a whole day selling the hospital on giving me treatment.
