Feather in the Wind
YOU ask, how about open-mindedness? Someone has said, "to be completely open-minded is to be like a feather in the wind, blown about from here to there and never finding a place to light." If one is completely open-minded and always agrees with what every speaker says, his mind never lights on one idea long enough to make it work. One must make a decision and then proceed along that course until by watching the sign posts he becomes convinced that it is time to change the course. He must always be willing to change when proven wrong, but never be without the power to proceed along the indicated course because of lack of decision.
