Country Squire

HAVE just finished The Human Story entitled "Country Squire" in the September issue of The A.A. Grapevine and enjoyed it very much. And, since I know the guy very well, I thought I might add my two cents' worth. By way of explanation, I have been told in AA that it is all right to think back about the fun we had in our early drinking days but always to end that line of thought with how it all ended up. You know, just in case someone might want to have a little fun once more after a few drinks--forgetting that, once an alcoholic, he cannot have a little fun after a few drinks without going through all the grief which, sooner or later, goes with it. For my dough, it just ain't worth it!
