In Praise

I AM a priest of the Episcopal Church. For over two years I have attended regularly the general meetings on Friday night of Alcoholics Anonymous. On invitation I have attended group meetings and several zone meetings. I am not an alcoholic. Why then this interest? For want of a better word, I would say the reason is selfishness. This is not an accurate term but used in the AA way it becomes a sharing of self for the betterment of distressed, unfortunate mankind.
