Henshaw's Imp

Henshaw had been dry for six months. Used car sales were up and business was pretty good. He sat slouched deep in the office chair letting his gaze drift out through the window, almost in the grasp of catching 40 winks, as the warmth of the crisp sunshine threw shadows across the room, when the phone cut into his tranquility.
