SAM, being an alcoholic, was just getting over a particularly bad binge under the watchful eye of his wife. He had promised her, as he had many times before, that he would surely stop drinking this time. However, his only thought was to get out of the house and get a drink which, of course, would be the start of another drunk. He was becoming very restless staying around the house so his wife, noting this, suggested he walk to school with their small son. This was his chance, for there was a saloon on the way.
