Southern AA

Our group, the Mound City Chapter at the West Virginia Penitentiary, is comparatively new, having been organized December 14, 1949. In the beginning many of us were very skeptical as to whether AA philosophy of life could possibly work for us, while confined in a penal institution; where jealousy, hatred, and especially self-pity and resentment so easily become the driving power of the thinking of most convicts.
