We Are Restricted

WE frequently say that AA gives us not only our sobriety, but also brings us a new "way of life." I have heard some describe our existence as a life of limitations, alcohol is out of bounds for us, we are restricted from indulging in certain mental and emotional gymnastics, such as self-pity, resentments, impatience, etc. Is this life so boring, so confining?
