Mail Call

WE in AA admire the fellow who is in there pitching all of the time--active in his group, always willing to take over whatever work is necessary,--constantly doing something for the group and in general a real helper at all times. But every once in a while we run into a different type of a worker. This one may not join the discussions, but is always listening, never has charge of a meeting but is always there with his moral support, an example for all members by his humility, his continued life of sobriety and whether an unfortunate has strayed or missed meetings, he is always there with his ever-present smile to welcome him back. He is always there as an example for newcomers and old-timers alike. Truly a group is lucky to have such a fellow as an inspiration.
