ONE of the first, and yet it seems to me the hardest of all things to get across to a group or to an individual is that each person is really on his own. Not just from the standpoint of trust put in him by various persons with whom he associates, but that in order to comprehend and grasp this whole idea, he must be able to put everything that would affect his sobriety into a class by itself.
