TODAY, more than ever, people are becoming aware and taking greater concern with the seriousness of our major public health problems. Alcoholism, our fourth largest Public Health Problem, has more increasingly been brought before the public mind. Many of the taboos and myths formerly attached to alcoholism are gradually being supplanted with realistic thinking and serious attempts toward prevention and the arresting of alcoholism in its earlier stages.
