We feel that the South Bend, Indiana Group must have had some special destiny when it was founded in 1943. Not only has its own growth been rapid, but it has had the rare privilege of serving as a starting point for many groups in the area, including an inter-racial group in South Bend, Mishawaka, Elkart, Goshen, La Porte, in this state as well as Benton Harbor and St. Joseph's in Michigan, as well as villages within the radius of 25 miles.
