Mail Call

WAUKESHA, Wisconsin being a city of approximately 25,000 people, cannot afford to have an office or club rooms. But the thought occurred to me that Alcoholics Anonymous could be listed in the Waukesha telephone book, if someone would answer the telephone and could pass on to our members the necessary information for people looking for information or assistance. So I called our local telephone office and they gave me a lady's name who was taking care of the doctors' telephones when the doctors were not able to be reached. This was a 24-hour service. I discussed with this lady what I had in mind regarding Alcoholics Anonymous--taking the messages and passing on the information to us for a nominal sum. I took this matter up with the other members of our Waukesha group and they thought this was a very good idea. We will have this service as soon as the new telephone books are printed.
