Random Thoughts of a Middle-woman

ALL this talk of "old-timers" who want something more than AA now offers, leaves me very confused as to their meaning. I have just passed my sixth anniversary, which must make me not an old-timer nor yet a new AA, but a sort of middleman (though I should say middlewoman). Yet I cannot help but feel that those who have had the great good fortune to have had a longer time in AA than I, have that much more knowledge--that their interest should be that much more keen and their gratitude greater with every extra year. I cannot see where life can hold a more gratifying kind of growth than this of ours--to learn to know and understand ourselves and our brother man.
