Mail Call

AFTER passing the three-year mark in AA, it seems, as I look back over my life, that it was comparable to a ride down a steep and rocky hill. At first it seemed a very merry affair. There were a lot of people on that same ride with me, all laughing and singing and having fun. It wasn't very fast, just a breeze as we started down the hill. When the ride got faster and the road got rougher, one by one the people began to get off. Some of them said to me in parting, "Why don't you get off too, why do you drink so much?"
