The Mad-dog Phase

DURING the churlish, physically sober months prior to a Pennsylvania debacle, I fancied that I had a craving for liquor. It stayed with me every waking hour, I cherished it as standard equipment, and attempted to eke a full measure of pity from any unwary individual I could buttonhole.
