MAJOR Augustus Post, 76, pioneer balloonist who won the Gordon Bennett Trophy for free balloon navigation in 1910, recently took a trial run with the Navy. In explaining the joys of ballooning to hero-worshipping lighter-than-air men, he said, "There really is no sensation like floating between the earth and the heavens with the winds of the world. Some of my friends claim you can create the same feeling by four very dry Martinis on an empty stomach--but I don't believe it.!"
