The Faith That Moves Drunks Can Move the World!

The man who ten years ago dared to give AA its first big journalistic boost believes. . .

A FRIEND of mine in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, who has a scholarly talent for simplifying abstruse matters, has been studying the vitamin-pill segment of the pharmaceutical field. This neglected corner of science (retail) has been in one awful mess, with sensational claims being made for various kinds of "miracle" boluses, and the public is befuddled. My scholarly friend, using the old German-university method of scientific study, has detected a common note running through all the vitamin advertisements--a claim, stated or implied, that each brand of pill will make the sufferer from some specific form of ailment, or "misery," henceforth feel good.
