And What of Responsibility

Living AA carries great responsibilities as well as the deepest joy human beings can know. There is no question about the joys. They are accepted, expected, demanded wholeheartedly--but the responsibilities? These are grave matters requiring a sense of duty, a willingness to sacrifice for the love of others, a consciousness of obligations. Only the courageous disciplined soul takes them on and faithfully carries them on to a triumphant end.
