Hoagy Carmichael's new hit tune, "My Resistance Is Low" might well be the theme song for August in a certain Group we know They've had a heap of bad luck in Augusts past. . .for three years running it's been their worst month for slips. Their resistance, it seems, gets low during the Dog Days. It's a pretty well established fact that allowing ourselves to get overtired is a dangerous thing for us alcoholics. Well, the Dog Days are with us. . .and so is that dragged-out feeling. So maybe a word of caution isn't out of place. . .especially for those new AAs going through their first summer.
