Straight AA

WHAT is this that I've often heard referred to as straight AA? I've heard a speaker referred to as "The best when it comes to straight AA." I've heard members say that they like meetings best when "Straight AA" is talked and discussed. By inference, I gather that according to some, "Straight AA" consists of the following: first, of the discussion of the alcoholic as a poor, misunderstood, bewildered, maltreated individual who has a malady called alcoholism which grants him certain privileges over "normal" people and a definite right never to be insulted or tormented by the mention of God or anything pertaining thereto; second, the relating of personal experiences with John Barleycorn, the special obstacles that the individual had to surmount and the particular peculiarities of the individual which called for that first drink; third: the relating of how the individual came to AA or how AA came to him and how he's staying sober in AA by just sticking by AA and the guys and gals so long as it does not interfere with his old sources of questionable fun and pleasure, outside of drinking,
