We're Not Always Little Sunbeams
LIVING with a practicing alcoholic is a difficult proposition. It bears no resemblance to the proverbial bed of roses of which we read. Living with an alcoholic when he or she first AA does not exactly resemble the situation stated in that proverb. Because we express a desire to stop drinking, decide to try and do something about it, and have found our way to Alcoholics Anonymous, does not imply that we are immediately going to become little sunbeams around the home. There is a slight hope that, after some time, we might shine a bit on the odd occasion.
