How It Works for Me

I AM well aware of the fact that no two people work the AA program alike. No two people are exactly alike, nor do they think alike and by the same token they must act and think differently. However I do know that in AA we all learn by working and living the program the best we know how. We learn much from the sayings and experiences of others. Somehow or other I sensed early that the AA program was a spiritual one and for me the best way to work it was on a strictly spiritual basis but like anybody else, I had to finally find out that the only place I could start was at the bottom, forgetting all my preconceived notions about spiritual living, and find some workable basis on which to build a foundation.
