FOR some time now I've been pondering on the difference between "spiritual" and "religious." The last time I visited St. Thomas Hospital in Akron, I had a nice talk with AA's friend and "spiritual advisor," the good Sister Ignatia. She said, "This is a spiritual program, not a religious program." That really set me to thinking.
