My Sickness Had To Be Diagnosed By My Daughter's Diary. . .

FUZZY-BRAINED and shaky, I made half-hearted swipes over the furniture in my daughter's bedroom. I interrupted my dusting to pull the long cord tighter around my waist. It was the cord to an old flannel wrapper I liked to wear around the house when alone. The wrapper was full of cigarette burns and brown stains but it was comfortable.
