From the Grass Roots

We are finding more and more of the oldsters becoming too complacent and staying from meetings, little realizing what their presence and verbal support means to the fledgelings. Some are satisfied with their sobriety and are enjoying the things they wanted but were unable to do because they couldn't stay sober. Now they seem to be forgetting how they attained their sobriety. Others use the little frictions that pop up now and then in nearly all groups as an excuse.
