AA's Platform For Unity Marks Sixth November Birthday

How shall we AAs best preserve our unity? So begins the foreword of the first formal collection of the Twelve Traditions of Alcoholics Anonymous. The year was 1946, and AA was growing at a rate that astonished even the enthusiasts of the original Akron group. "More than 25,000 and still coming!" some claimed, and from that first lone kitchen group there were now over 900 groups.
