From the Grass Roots

TWO years ago the bottom came up and hit me in the face. Skid Row was my stamping ground. I had tried AA a year before for about three months. My ideas in joining had been, first: I would make my family happy. Second: I would meet a bunch that would put a good one on once in awhile and no one would be the wiser. Cute people we alcoholics. There was no idea of changing my life.
