From the Grass Roots

The Grapevine is a happy reward for sobriety in AA. No doubt many feel as I do that it is a living life-line to other AA folks throughout the world. Back in 1948 my wife sent a letter I had written to a suffering alcoholic, and to my surprise an excerpt appeared in The Grapevine. Perhaps that was the most important thing I ever wrote in twenty-five years of hitting the typewriter.
