One Man's Way

IT is reliably claimed that seven out of every one thousand people are potential alcoholics. I am not prepared to argue for or against this. I only know that I developed into an excessive and compulsive drinker. To drink moderately, or to stop entirely was something I strove in vain to do many years back. However, not until a little over a year ago did the thought of another drunk become a nightmare, and something I became afraid of experiencing. Life is sweet, even for a drunk, so in desperation I sought the aid of my doctor, and through him became acquainted with AA.
