This program is for the beginner for the asking. The first and all-important step is that the beginner have a sincere and honest desire to achieve sobriety, and should not hamper himself with any fears that he will fail. He should harbor in his heart no resentment of grievances or injustices he may fancy he has suffered. He should make a supreme effort to cast out any sense of false pride, and enter upon this great undertaking with humility and faith.
