They indicate that the year 1953 may well mark within the ranks of organized medicine the broadest educational project ever known in the field of healing for the alcoholic. Each of the articles, written for doctors by doctors, stresses the use of Alcoholics Anonymous as the final, effective stage of rehabilitation for the out-of-control drinker.
