Our Best Friends Tell Us

IT was a thrilling experience to participate in the first anniversary meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous, Lyons Chapter, at the high school last Saturday night. The group has been meeting for the past twelve months in the basement of our church, but of course, that room was too small for a special meeting. Some of the obvious aspects of the birthday celebration would be worth extended comment. . .such as the large attendance, with most of the groups in the area represented; or the inspiring presentation by a good speaker; the prevailing atmosphere of good fellowship; and the quantities of food and drink (coffee!).
