What Nearly Every Woman Knows. . .

EVERY woman has seen those dress patterns especially designed for beginners in the art of dressmaking. There are very few pieces but they are basic and all are essential to a dress. Simple, elementary instructions come with each pattern--pictures show how to lay each piece on the material to avoid waste. Each step is described: allow so much for seams, sew this piece and that one together, attach the waist and skirt parts, and eventually, if you follow the pattern, you have a dress.
