THE location is the lower peninsula of Michigan, an area that takes in a heavy industrialized collection of towns in the southern portion, fading into a sportsman's paradise in the northern section; bounded on the east by Lake Huron, on the west by Lake Michigan, on the north by the Straits of Mackinac, and on the south by Ohio and Indiana.
