Family Circle
BEFORE I was married, like most young people, I was so busy just living, that I had no time to think about having a philosophy of life. I attended church, partly because I was expected to go and partly because I wanted to play on the church basketball team. I believed in God but without faith. Faith to me was something you needed when you were dying, not while you were living. I didn't need any. I was happy, healthy, strong and I couldn't imagine any problem too big to be solved by common sense and a bit of effort.
