ENOUGH ABOUT SLIPS!

I DON'T like to hear too much talk about slips at my weekly meetings. Last holiday season we had one meeting when all the speakers were talking of their slips. It got me to thinking that after having been sober three months for the first time in my drinking career, that perhaps I was deserving of a little slip for myself. To me, a slip means a set-back, or sudden transition from an upright, straightforward position, to one flat-on-my-back again, looking up at the world around me with that old be-fogged stare.
